Best attractions in Cape Town Central, South Africa

Table Mountain National Park

Grab the chance while the top was clear to take the cable car to the top. Views were amazing. The thing that really struck me was how easy it was to get away from the crowds and how quiet and serenade the mountain was - great place for a bit of quiet contemplation of this amazing natural site.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

Lovely location to spend a few hours strolling around the gardens. They are set out at the base and lower slopes of Table Mountain. Amazing diversity of trees and plants, and of course lots of butterflies and birds are attracted to the area.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway
A great way to see Cape Town looking down over the town and coastline and across to Robben Island. You can spend a few hours walking around on top, and if you are there for the sunset if you are lucky it is stunning.

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

A large area with a shopping mall, fun for kids and adults. Also great just to sit around and people watch.

Two Oceans Aquarium

The clown fish and shark expo were really awesome. Very child friendly place and a lot of fun!
